This is the first time I've posted here in a while, does anyone even remember me?
Anyway, I have a few things to rant and talk about.
1- As many of you know, the Nintendo Wii (video game system) has been out since late November... and it's been near impossible to find. I've been looking: no luck. I refuse to do the online route: since people are greedy and sell it for way too much. Stores need to be better organized when it comes to new video game consoles (this same problem happened with the PlayStation 3 and other consoles in the past as well).
Random shipments of the system aren't helping things. Stores refuse to do reserves on it, but people just getting it right away and it selling out in a matter of minutes is not much different. Calling the store doesn't help much: the person at the store has no idea, lies (yes, you heard me right) or says "sold out, no idea when a new shipment is coming in".
Even if I did own the system, I would still feel the same way. The whole situation is a mess. I either have to luck out and get one, when it comes in randomly during the week... or wait a few months when stores have them in stock alot longer. (which isn't a guarantee at all, it could very well still be selling out months from now).
(Added comment: Thursday the eighth): I got a Wii on the 6th by luck. On my way home, I slipped on the stupid ice though.
2- All this talk about global warming is getting stupid. Obviously we are too addicted to gasoline and fuels, we should've done something long ago. Now everyone seems to have woken up and realized we must do something, or the climate and world will get worse.
I've said for quite a while now: carpool, walk places, ride a bike and so on. If more people would actually do those things, it would save money and would help the planet alot more. But people are just too stubborn or set in their ways to change it seems.
3- Is anyone else here addicted to Wikipedia (the free encyclopedia anyone can edit) ? I certainly am, and it keeps me from being bored. If I have nothing better to do, I will edit and help clean up articles there.

Yes the bubbler can be very s l o w.
I have not played a video game since pacman so I can not not say what the deal is but I am guessing that it is a supply/demand thing. If they ramp-up production too quick, they saturate the market and over-produce. If they ramp-up slowly they use their customers at beta testers and modify before too many are produced. Such is what happened when people started throwing the contorllers at the Monitiors.
We should have more people on bikes and I would think with Madison ,Wisconsin being a bicycle capitiol and the red bike campain that you would see that.
I used to ride my bike every day in decent weather to work. At that time my place of employement had showers, so I could shower we I got to work. It was the most relaxing and refreshing way to start the day and no one had to smell me.
But alas downsizing took me to a place that does not have showers and roads that are not the safest for bicycling.
I have used Wikipedia, while it is intersting, it is still definition by popular understanding and NOT factual understanding, so I loosly use use it.
Now my question to you is why haven't you been to my Love poll?
It is only running for a day so place your vote today.

When you find yourself bored...come back to the bubbler's forum, "what to do when you are bored' and add a few comments.
As far as not being able to get a Nentendo Wii...it's all a gimmick. People want what they can't have. If the stores stocked their shelves with this new system people would tend to walk right past thinking they will wait until it goes on sale etc..
This has been going on since day 1 in stores...you should have been around trying to get a Cabbage Patch Doll when they first entered the market! People were actually fighting in the stores to get a doll! It was crazy. Everyone was running from store to store trying to get the small amount that was shipped in. lol Talk about a mess.
(yes, I did get one. I made friends with a store clerk and slipped her extra cash to put one aside for me)! The things we have to do for our kids!
1) The last sytem I owned was a Nintendo 64 so I have nothing to say about the Wii (except that I tried one last week and it was fun).
2) We've had other global warming discussions here before.
3) I'm not a Wikipedia addict.
I'd rather not give a reply than give one as lame as the one above, so that is why I didn't answer! Now if you posted something about crafts, cats or the other topics I'm familiar with, I'd have something to yap about!
I am glad you posted this Wii post though. We've not had a lot of video game discussion, and perhaps it will draw some gamers out of the woodwork.

well pk, it's either you or me that is lame
I sure hate it to be me, so I am guessing it is you
hahahahahahahahaha
sorry I just had to post this ,since I have a 50% chance of being lame even though I am swimming inthe River In Egypt.
