Winter is headed our way soon!

Make sure you have your furnace filters cleaned and changed, snow shovels are handy, snowblowers are ready to go, winter wear is out and ready to wear, cars are winter-ready with small shovel, sand, and an extra change of clothes and a few blankets in case you get stranded. Yup...the snow is coming and just wanted to make sure everyone is set for it. Calling for 10 plus inches over the next 2-3 days. Drive safe and remember...getting there 10 minutes late is better than rushing and having an accident.

Now that reminds me to stop at Menard for a furnace filter(some day I am getting an electostatic filter set-up) and a spark plug.

There is something about hearing a snowblower running outside while you are inside knowing your snow has already been blown out. :wink: :wink: :wink:

Now that's one of the few things I like about living in an apartment instead of owning my own house. I don't have to worry about the furnace, etc and they hire people to shovel the walks and plow the parking lot.

Last apartment I lived in though, they hired someone to plow and they'd do the drive area first, leaving a three-foot wall of plowed snow blocking every parking area in the complex. And then when they got to the parking areas, they tended to bury the cars that were there. There were many days were I had to work from home because I couldn't get out of my parking lot until 2 or 3 pm even though the roads were just fine. :roll: I'm not sure my manager believed me.

We live in Kenosha on the south east corner of the state on the Illinois border for those that aren't quite sure where Kenosha is located...anyways, we got dumped with snow last night! Heard we got the most in the state. One place I heard 12 inches and later a Chicago station mentioned being glad they weren't in Kenosha where we got dumped with 17 inches!

Well all I know is we got enough to keep me in all day! And the schools closed! Now can we go back to the weather we had a couple of days ago please!!??? It was in the 60's! I like that alot better. LOL
