I just read the other day that some scientists say that the first person to live to 150 is already alive today.. the first person to live to 1000 will be birn within the next 20 years..

Getting old means many aches and pains. I sure hope if people live to 150 and longer they figure out how to make the extra years less painful.

my father passed away a year ago at the age of 98.
There was no quality of life for him at all. I do not want to even get close to that age.
I hope I get my ticket for that "Airline to Heaven" sooner than he did.

Thinking of how my Mom suffered so much from her body just being 'old' and so many things going wrong is why I also wrote how I hope they find a way to make it less painful to grow so old. Otherwise I am certainly with the same feeling as you John, I also hope I don't get past the age that there is really no quality of life left.
