God my heart is grieving the same as millions of fans!
The Crock Hunter and The Diaries were just a few of my favorite shows, which will no longer be airing new episodes of Steve Irwin on The Animal Planet. The fact that Steve whom died young at age 44, will no longer be saying humorous catch phrase adjectives in regards to critters “just look at that Sheila” or “Crikey” for me is a personal tragedy. I am shocked and distressed at Steve Irwin’s sudden, untimely and freakish death. But it really does goes to show just how suddenly accidents can happen even to world-renowned conservationist like Steve. I just wish that I could have had the opportunity to say just how much I personally loved him and the work he did for educating the world on preservation of the animal species.

To his family and team I truly send my sincere Sympathy. There have been Angels here on Earth and Steve Irwin was amongst them. He touched millions of people and will forever be in all of our memories. Rest In Peace Steve (1962-2006)
If you talk to the animals they will talk to you, If you do not talk to them you will not know them. And what you do not know you will fear. What one fears, one destroys. ~Chief Dan George. (1899 - 1981)
I read in the news this morning that the govt where he lives (are they provinces or states in Australia?) is offering him a State Funeral in tribute, if his family accepts. I wasn't a big fan, but anyone who is trying to educate people about the environment and the natural world is ok in my book. He kind of struck me as the next generation of Jacques Cousteau.
Steve Irwin, a true "TOUGH GUY", and skilled individual. He had his fears, and knew how to deal with them, channel them, if you will. The world could do well with a few more people of his caliber around. The world will truly miss that one.
Rest In Peace, brother Steve

A hole in the heart that will know doubt leave a hole in the heart for many fans. I caught only pieces of a few episodes and enjoyed them. Thanks again for posting.
“Please don’t grieve for Steve, he’s at peace now, but I’d like you to grieve for the animals, for the animals have lost the best friend they ever had, and so have I,”
