The other day (on friday 9/10/06)a day I will remember forever; For the beast has come to claim his prize.... It was my father, The man that I Idolize.
The day before I visited him, dad seemed to be doing fine. said he hoped he would get stonger to leave this all behind...
It looked as to me he was in great spirits, for I thought he was speaking of returning to his own home... But not for the Cancer building within that would go forwarnd...
On that snowy Friday, My sister she did call, she said to me that dad was sure to fall.... I went to her home to see him there... and sure enough the beast was aware, for it had strenghthed its grip on my father.
He was in pain, the morphin was feed and within minutes,,,, my father was dead....for the cancer nothing to be done for it was too far along, was within his bones, doing its terrible deed.
But before he passed he said onto me ...as I stood over him holding him tight, he gave a big squeeze as hard as he could and then he told me he LOVED me and wanted me to let all the others my sis and my brothers that he LOVED them too!! I promised I would tell them and he said thanks! Then he looked up at me and just gave a grin.... Thats when I think My Mother came in.
He then called my Mother Maggie who came to take him home for she had died just 5 yrs earlier... This beast called cancer, with no care in the world, attacks without warning or care, no matter the age.
The beast goes on and on looking for its next unknow host to beat them down from coast to coast!!!!
All we can do Is hope and pray, that this beast called cancer is defeated someday.....
