Sometimes a person needs one lifetime of pain
To understand what they don't want,
And they become willing to search
For the very thing
That will help get them out of
This terrible trap
Of human misery and travail.

When they find it they know
It is true,
That a great man wrote his findings
For us and everyone....
To help us realize
We knew it all along,
And just needed a jog of remembrance.

He arrived
One evening after the setting sun -
A shadow in the doorway,
Quiet observer

Later,
Drinking his quaff,
He went not unnoticed.
Attention he felt
From more than one girl
But none wanted him,
The quiet one.

They preferred
Loud and boisterous, rather.
Free spenders with gold pan money
Here to find mates
With the possibility of marriage
And respectable living...

She came to me, that little chubby angel.
In a dream that was so real
And I wondered just why and how
There was such strong appeal
To this image I had never seen before
Or understood previously
That was,
A fact I became aware of -
She was there mischievously.

She dropped her little puppy
Down gently as I stood in awe
Asking me to keep her pet safe
And later on, tell others what I saw -

"Oh,...

My mind was a vat full of pictures and dreams,
And I worked hard to make them my future, it seems
That the way I envisioned this life was to be,
I created myself and became what is me!

I'm glad that it worked out the way that I wanted,
Because I could reach through the face of undaunted
Opposing realities - and what they taunted!
To make quite a future, to be.

Now I can rest and regather my soul,
For the future is here...

The Badger is a Texas gentleman
Who speaks sooth
In poetic diatribe
And philosophic conundrum
Until I am ready to fall asleep.

He knows exactly what to say and when,
But do you get an answer
To your question?

He likes his Vodka
In a little glass bottle
Carried in the pocket
Of his 3 piece suit.

Little specks float to the floor
When he walks past
With an ethereal quality
