Hey...have you ever been to Monches? It's in the northern part of Waukesha Country and home to a large group of artisans. The first of every December, the locals have an open house weekend, where you can stop in and peruse their wares, meet the artists, and check out unique items for gifts.
Blessed Teresa of Calcutta, the Catholic church in Monches, holds a Holiday Craft Fair on the Saturday (this year Dec. 4) from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Local crafters display their items like: quilts, braided rugs, homemade soap, handsewn items, holiday gift baskets, etc. Homemade baked goods are for sale, a raffle is held for donated craft items, and chili, sandwiches, pies and refreshments are available for purchase.
So take a cruise to Monches, at the top of Waukesha County, and spend some time with us! Hwys. Q, K & E. See you there.
