Bird Training Tape
Being a member of a bird club and having been involved with many different avian organizations, I come across all kinds of bird training and behavior tapes and DVD's. Most of them are pretty much the same. Nice but not overly impressive. They either go way to deep or not deep enough. It's hard to find one which gives you plenty of content but in terms the normal person can understand. Well, I finally found one. It is called "Parrots as Pets" by Steve Martin; not the commedian. I have it in a 2 tape set, I have not looked to see if it is on DVD.
The first tape is called "Undestanding Bird Behavior". It helps you get a better understanding of your pet bird. Understanding your birds behavior, both the verbal and non verbal clues, makes it easeir to train and become a better friend to your bird. The 2nd tape, in the set, is called "Training Through Positivive Reinforcement". This tape goes through very easy to understand steps in training your bird to do tricks or just behave better.
This tape is well worth the money for anyone who owns a pet bird of any size.
