Home Made cage cleaner

I used this over the weekend and it works great!!

1 clean, empty spray bottle
3 cups hot water
3 tbsp Baking Soda
2 tsp liquid Grapefruit Seed Extract

Grapefruit Seed Extract may not be a familiar ingredient to all bird owners, but is completely safe for birds and contains natural enzymes that act as a disinfectant to kill bacteria and help break down organic material.

Make sure that the water is hot. Hot water is better at dissolving powdered ingredients like baking soda. You want to make sure that the ingredients are as evenly distributed throughout the mixture as possible.

Thanks Carol, I printed off the recipe I'll be using it...bird cage cleaning is some of the toughest stains to get off. But where do you find this Grapefruite Seed Extract?
