Odd Parakeet behavior
Anyone else seen this before? Our new parakeet will hide under the paper towel in the bottom of the cage when anyone approaches and peek out at you. Has earned him/her the name Peek-a-Boo by our kids.
I am wondering if being alone is causing this behavior or not, and if getting another one for company will help.

I wouldn't worry at all, and if you get another one, you'll probably find them both under there lol. How old is the Keet?

hes quiet during the day but come night sings away. This bird is a Scarlet Parakeet, such a beauty! Still though he shows fear of us people.
