Welcome to Bayfield - Gateway to the Apostle Islands - it's Blooming Season!


Last fall Bayfield residents planted over 4,000 daffodils around the community in anticipation
of the blooming season.

We planted for ourselves - but even more importantly - for our guests, the thousands of visitors
who drive in for a day, or stay in one of our fine lodgings for a longer period.

Blue Lake Superior dotted with white sails, cruise boats, ferries and kayaks.

Fields and roadsides sporting the multi-colors of our most cherished wildflower - the lupine.

Apple, raspberry & cherry trees in blossom at the fruit & flower orchards.


Thousands of bulbs burst forth each Spring as Bayfield welcomes early season visitors. Come for the beauty—View fabulous floral displays throughout town in Fountain Garden Park, along the highway coming into town, down Rittenhouse Avenue, and along the waterfront in Memorial Park. Stay for the fantastic shopping and dining—Enjoy the boutique shops and wide variety of eateries in downtown Bayfield without the crowds!

Savor the quiet and solitude—Beat the crowds and have Bayfield all to yourself. Luxuriate in your choice of lodging be it bed & breakfast, hotel, or cabin. Linger over slow meals.
