This may sound funny but how about on the inside you have a small explanation about sharing the card with a friend next year and include an extra envelope and stamp.Forward the love and recycle at the same time.
To bad Cheese wouldn't fit in the card I love hand crafting my christmas cards every year then I know I can't send out the same one twice
I was trying to stay away from the cheese or cows. It seems that too many out there think that's all Wisconsin has to offer. I wanted to show them something different. Plus, I hate the whole cheesehead thing.

I don't even know if I'll be doing it next year. This is the first time doing it for me. The others did a card exchange last year, but I was too busy to get on that one.
I don't think you understood what I meant. The person that you give the card to sends it to someone else the next year. Pass along a well wish from one to another. Mabey Im to forward thinking or something.

I like the FLW design idea. Being that they are creative types, they would appreciate that. I also thought about the Octagon House in Watertown, since that's so close to me. I don't know if there's any kind of postcards there.
How about doing some grease art with the fish fry grease LOL.
I'll have to visit a big craft store this weekend or poke around on Etsy.com
I think I have an idea now. I'm going to make about 3 or 4 different watercolors of famous creative people from Wis. Then I'll scan my paintings and get them printed into little folded gift tags. On the back of each tag will be a short description starting the the words, "A gift from Wisconsin." Then I'll put a sentence about that person under that. The inside of the tags will be blank. These gift tags will be tied together with a ribbon and placed inside of my friend's Christmas cards.
The Wis. people I want to use are:
Frank Llyod Wright (my design will use his style)
Georgia O'Keeffe (my design will use her painting style)
Les Paul (guitar design)
Liberace (keyboard with some glitter and sparkles glued on)
Other possible ones would be Houdini or Laura Ingalls Wilder
What I like about my idea is that the recipients can use the gift tags. The tags will also give them an interesting fact about Wis. The tags can be used any time of year, since they aren't a Christmas theme. The gift tag idea could be used again next year, but I would use a different theme, such at foods from Wis. or products from Wis. or sites to see in Wis. I could be set for years to come.

So what do you think of my idea?
Awesome...
Great seeing creative mind(s) in process and I give you credit for the thoughtfulness, and effort, you're putting into these.
