At 2 a.m. on November 4, 2007, groggy Americans will turn their clocks back one hour, marking the end of Daylight Saving Time (DST).
Check your smoke detectors and your fire safety plan
As Daylight Savings time approaches, please take this opportunity to check the smoke detectors and the fire safety plans for your homes. According to the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention, someone dies from a house fire every 162 minutes. Use the following guide to keep you and your family safe:
-->Install smoke alarms in each sleeping area and on each home level.
-->Check smoke detector batteries monthly.
-->Review escape routes and determine a meeting place outside the home.
-->Keep escape routes free of clutter.
-->Have a fire extinguisher for each home level and in the garage.
-->Review the phone numbers for area fire departments, police departments and ambulance services.

I just don't understand why they just can't leave it daylight savings all year. Many states are like that now. When they change off from it many kids have to get on the school bus in the dark and get home when it's getting dark. What fun is that? They say kids need more excerise but there is not enough daylight to go outside after school if they ride the late bus. Doesn't make sense to me.

I knew daylight savings was coming up in fact for whatever reason I thought it was this weekend. So to make sure if in fact it was this weekend or not... I decided to check on here since I remembered we talked about daylight savings awhile back on the forums. Well I checked it out and found out it's not this weekend! yeah!
Thanks you to everyone in the forums for all the great information that is always posted on this website.
I've got such wonderful volunteers here.....well, this past weekend one group of folks were an hour late. By the time they got here we were done with everything we had to do.
Just today she told me that she was already on day light savings time and had changed her clocks and was late for everything all Sunday and Monday before she realized they changed the date of DLST.
tis the season when my car clock is off by an hour! In the Spring it gets back on time.

Ive been messed up for the past week because of DST already. many of my gadgets automatically changed at the old national DST (last weekend of october), but since they changed it this year to the first weekend of november, they aren't right. Oh well, gives me more of an excuse to log on and look at my clock :P
Some of our clocks changed last week and some didn't...so I never knew what time it is.
My son needed to be somewhere today and he was paranoid that he would be late because we would be looking at the wrong clock.
Funny thing is when we got to where we were dropping him off, no one was there! We were the first ones there, but didn't know it until someone else showed up.
Quite honestly I think I lose time when the clocks change!

More often than not you hear about people running out of time. Just as the Denver Broncos about that.
I rarely hear about people losing or finding the time. I have heard people say

The radio folks tell me that we should spring ahead on Sunday morning...the 9th of March. Play it safe, and do it on Saturday night while getting ready for bed.
Starting in 2007, daylight time begins in the United States on the second Sunday in March and ends on the first Sunday in November. On the second Sunday in March, clocks are set ahead one hour at 2:00 a.m. local standard time, which becomes 3:00 a.m. local daylight time. On the first Sunday in November, clocks are set back one hour at 2:00 a.m. local daylight time, which becomes 1:00 a.m. local standard time. These dates were established by the Energy Policy Act of 2005, Pub. L. no. 109-58, 119 Stat 594 (2005).
In 2008, daylight time begins on March 9 and ends on November 2.
