We were right near Villa D Carlos and of course the smell of pizza was calling our names out. So we ordered a pizza, set up our chairs and ate right there. Good food.

Last year we went to Pewaukee Lake's fireworks and I really liked it because the yacht club does theirs the same night across the lake and many private ones going off around the lake in every direction. Makes for a nice display. I heard this year they cut the budget for fireworks, so I don't know how it was. They had people donating money also.
We did Oconomowoc's fireworks on Friday and they seemed short this year. Maybe it was just me.
Saturday we spent the whole day at Summerfest. I got a lot of walking in and eating. Been going there for 24 years. I can't believe the time goes so fast, but I always have fun watching all the bands. I want to know why they put all the big name bands on at the same time and you have to choose which one to see. I was stuck choosing between 3 bands, so we watched half of a new band called Anberlin and then walked over to Theory of a Deadman. Hubby wanted to see Jet, but I didn't. I got to see one of my fave bands from Chicago called Lovehammers and the singer made some wisecrack about Potawatomi being a fun word to say, kind of like gazebo and tippy toes LOL. Lots of colored hair and funny clothes walking the fest. Always good for people watching. Seemed like a smaller crowd than normal. Not hard to get around at all. I guess people either didn't like the colder weather there or they are saving money.
