Cane poles were the BEST! That's what I used growing up too. Can you even buy them anymore?
When I was in middle school, we lived in Genoa City and the creek ran along our back yard. My siblings and I spent many great hours fishing out there. I hated when those darn crawdads would take the worms though! I also used to like fishing off the little walking bridge at the park because you could catch much bigger fish around there.
I still love to go fishing but my husband doesn't have the patience for it so it's been years since I've gone. My son recently decided he likes to go fishing after he went with some friends on free fishing day. He even bought a license...so maybe he and I can go sometime this year before he heads back to college.
