There are pros and cons to both sides of that argument.. most times I like to bump up the old posts to acquaint the newer members with older topics so long as the thread is still fairly relevant.
I do agree tho that sometimes it's ok to start a new thread when the older one is more than a couple years old and populated with posts by primarily inactive members but PK also makes a good point that sometimes kicking up an old post alerts the inactive member that a reply/comment has been made and can bring them back into the fold.
For the most part tho, I'd rather bump the older threads if appropriate.

We learned this the hard way, especially when those dead threads are so many yrs old.... It's proven to have a better outcome in other forums & i'm just passing along my input.

Yeah, I think the age difference bothers me more than her.. her sister is also with an older guy, tho not as old as I am. Sometimes you just don't plan these things
Her mom told me on the phone that she told Misty "whatever makes you happy" and I told her I told Misty the same thing. Misty actually met someone once she wouldn't date because of the age difference... guess we just clicked and she made an exception.
Meanwhile, we're enjoying our time together.

I met a really nice guy a few yrs back, i liked him as a person, but wouldn't date him because he was closer in age to my daughter than me lol he was 26 when i was 34, just too much of a difference for me... I imagine it's different for a man.
