Rush Limbaugh political machine?
I've never referenced Rush Limbaugh in any of my posts. I care about Rush Limbaugh about as much as I care about Ed Schultz or Chris Matthews.

It's a 9 year old artcle which talks about Bill Clintons plan to use the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) to relieve an energy issue.
Nowhere in the article does it say that the problem can't be drilled away or that it's overestimated.
On the contrary, it supports drilling here and building more refineries. It also talks about the problems with Clinton policies. Not the last 8 years, but the 8 years prior.
Here's a partial quote from your article:
Since the 1980s, advanced technology has made it possible to produce more oil with fewer wells in a far more environmentally friendly way. But American companies cannot draw on the country's vast untapped reserves without greater access to government land for responsible exploration and development. Since 1983, access to federal land in the West--where 67 percent of America's onshore oil reserves are located--has declined by 60 percent. President Clinton has used his executive powers to severely limit oil and gas activity on government land, and the search for new domestic offshore oil has been limited to parts of the Gulf of Mexico and Alaskan waters.
End quote.
But none of this changes the premise of this thread. Al Gore is cashing in on fear, panic and bad policy all based on bad science.
If it were Dick Cheney making the billions, I'm sure the attitude would be different.
