Squeaks
Squeaks is a baby pigeon I have been playing Momma to for the last couple of months. Both his parents were attacked by a hawk & didn't survive the ordeal. He now thinks I'm his Mom, he follows me all over the loft Squeaking for all he's worth for food, even when he's not hungry. My grandson loves him because he is so tame, he sits on his shoulder and snuggles against his face.
In my life I have raised many orphaned & abandoned critters, far to many pigeons to count, but after watching my 5 year old grandson with him, gives me a whole new outlook on raising baby pigeons. It is similar to feeding an infant, I kept him in a shoe box next to the bed(baby pigeons get up early)
I fed him a parrot formula, it has all the same nutrients his parents would've given him. As things go, from time to time I'll keep you all updated on Squeeks progress, lets see if he will be a good or mediocre racing pigeon.
