Believe it or not, it's the same as it's always been. Nothing flashy.
It's talking to friends and neighbors. It's speaking your views (even if they aren't the same as mine) without reserve or fear of ridicule. It's writing letters to the editor. It's posting in forums. It's working a phone bank of a group you believe in. It's calling or writing your representatives. Civil disobedience. Lots of stuff that actually works.
Think back of the amnesty bill (if you're aware of it).
Prop 8 is a good example in California. If you only paid attention to the media, you'd think it was going to go a certain way, but it went the opposite. Because popular sentiment is not always what it seems. So follow through with your convictions. You may be surprised how many are thinking the same way without you knowing it.
Last but not least. You exercise your right to vote. Even though it sometimes seems futile.
If I were king of voters, I'd have everyone vote in all new politicians regardless of positions just to get everyone out and have a fresh start.
Republicans and Democrats. Every single last one of those crooked........
Just to prove a point. It couldn't be any worse.
