Hey PK. Ok you have a modem and a router. Just to narrow the problem down you can disconnect the router and just connect the modem to your computer. Reset the modem and enter your user name and password that your ISP gave you. If you can connect to the internet great.
Now turn on and reset the router. Then connect the router to your computer. Go to 192.168.1.1 and enter a new user name and password, don't use the user name and password from your ISP, make up a new password to be used only for your router.
When you reset your router the default user name and password should be:
user name: admin
password: password
or the password may be 1234
Check your routers manufacturer website for correct user name and password.
I think your modem was somehow reset and your getting into your router admin screen and not your modem screen so yeah, your stuck.
I think this should work.
If you had a lightning storm it is possible you had a power surge and something got fried.
