Mabe another seal skin seat cover, hows the mileage from that old 73' Electra you still driven. Eco-Natzi. How do we get there then, you know energy independence, just sit back and do nothing while gas is under $2.00 a gallon. How long do you think that is going to last.

[edited by publisher]. Most people want to help the environment but not if its unpractical and will destroy our way of life to do so. Clean energy will come when it is feasible to do so, by forcing it all you do is push the prices so high that no one can afford it.
As for energy independence all we need to do is drill for all the oil that we have right here in the United States as well as use nuclear power. Oh wait though I am sure you took Obama's quote in the campaign without thinking about it. Obama said "The US uses 40% of the worlds oil used each year but we only have 3% of the worlds oil in our ground so if we drilled here in the US we would run out immediately." Now if you think about that a little more we do not even use a fraction of the worlds oil each year so that 40% is a fraction of a fraction of all oil in the world. Thus we have much more oil in our ground than Obama would want you to believe.
