I have to justify this one all the time! My brows are practically clear but I darken my hair and use brown brow pencils. If the brows are allowed to grow untamed it makes it really hard to draw them on evenly. The pencil sticks to hairs that it shouldn't.
A few of my tricks:
- Put translucent powder on your lids and eyelashes to make shadow and mascara stick
- Heating the eyelash curler with a hairdryer (it really does hold the curl)
- Mixing eyeshadow with contact lens solution to make eyeliner (some people use spit.. ugh)
- Queen Helene Mint Julep Mask. You can get it at drugstores and it's around $3 for a massive tube. It kind of smells like marijuana but it clears up pimples and sucks all the gunk out of your pores.
- Putting soap bars in your drawer like PK suggested. Not only does it scent the drawer, it "cures" the soap so it hardens and concentrates the scent.
- Buying small paintbrushes at craft stores instead of the expensive make-up brushes at department stores. The tiny flat brushes are perfect for eyeshadow and liner application.
- Using a cooler when I car travel instead of a make-up case. It keeps bottles upright and contains spills.
