If you are using Ms Word go to Format-Background Printing watermarks and select on or create one in MS Paint.
Most MS products have a feature to ad a watermak just go help and search for Watermark.
another quick and dirty way is to use MS paint and make your own just make the color very faint , save as a jpg and again go to background and add your created watermark. You may try several times until you get the desired size,effects,looks and faintness in your document.
In photoeditiing you simply add a layer make your watermark there. Just remeber to save a copy in the editor format to maitain seperate layers and a copy in jpg/pgn/whatever extension you want for the watermarked photo.
