Keep up the good fight. It's very hard when you rescue something other then dogs or cats. Many more see the need to help a dog or cat in need and not see the fish, wildlife, hooved animals needing help.
None of them have a voice to ask for help when needed.

Maybe it's time to find a school(s) in a larger city and see if they would like to do a big RESCUE AWARNESS Fundraiser. It would take some legwork to find a school interested but I know when I was President of the PTO this would have been something interesting to our group. We did various fundraisers such as Food Drives, Giving Tree, (presents for the foster children), winter wraps etc. But we also had various assemblies for the kids to learn from and take interest in a cause.
Maybe a RESCUE DRIVE where kids find donations for food, bedding, newspapers, paper towels etc. (make a list). Form groups and offer a small prize for the group that brings in the most. Call radio stations or newspapers in the area and promote the cause. lol do you see how I was elected President?? I was always spouting my ideas and before I knew it...they would say....great... Patti just volunteered!

(ahhhh...no, I'm not volunteering....unless you would like me to ask my daughter's high school?) lol
Anyways, just an idea.
