This is where the sun or light has actually damaged it by taking some of the color out of the glass. If you are interested in a piece that is less sharp or faded then it is not worth as much. Yup this is true. I have a great book called " The art of Carnival Glass " and it shows great examples of the colors, fading, etc....and what to look for and what you just dont want.
