Hi again aaa...as always I love to see Kenosha folk on here. The great part of the bubbler is the fact that we can have members from all over the state

But it's still great to get members from our own back yards too.
I found the bubbler several years ago I think... (guess I'll have to check that), but it's been a very rewarding site to be part of. I too came here from dk and so glad I landed here in the forum that has a heart. I say that because it was finally a place that people did not snipe at you, or complain, or this drama or that. Not to discourage you from any other website. (we don't do that here)...just meaning that I personally found it like a breath of fresh air to come where it's a very stress free zone. Everyone here has so many fun and intelligent comments to offer. There is so many topics to choose from. There is a nice niche for everyone here.
But so much for the website I do also want to say that I am also from Illinois and moved up to Kenosha about 14 years ago. We have put our children in the school system here and could not be happier with the many choices they have to offer in this city for our children. Some towns you really have very little choices. You have your neighborhood school and one choice of a high school. Here we did not want to put our children in the neighborhood school so we had other options. We chose the Kenosha School of Language which was the perfect choice for our children. The vast amount of opportunities for them now that they are bi-lingual will be awesome. Since my daughter loves to learn languages Kenosha even has a Chinese School that she attends on Saturday mornings. (not part of the kenosha school district but still something that is offered in this city). How many cities have something like that?
She also has a great Charter High School with only 100 students she attends. Again, how many cities offers so many choices so you have an opportunity to find the 'right' school for each child.
Sure, we have a lot of issues in our schools, but compared to most places I don't think it's really that bad. As in any school there is good and bad cliches and if a student knows how not to stray into the areas that doesn't offer good choices then I think the school system offers alot more plus's then negatives.
But of course so many people love to dwell on the negative side of things and can't encourage any of the positive aspects of a school system and then that is what usually sticks out in people's minds.
Anyways, glad to have you around and hope to see you in the forums.
