re: Wisconsin Gas Prices
The sad thing is, Americans will continue to suck on the teet of the oil companies regardless of how high gas prices go.
Why are other countries so far ahead of us in alternative fuel technologies?
Norway has a 'hydorgen highway' with H fuel stations that produce hydrogen right on the spot.
France has a car that runs on compressed air combined with gasoline. It takes an hour to fill the compressor, then can go 90mph and gets about 100 mpg with an 800 mile range per tank.
Brazil long ago switched to bio-fuels, using sugar as their main ingredient.
Why are the US automakers so far behind these other countries? Are we so image conscious that we need to prove our 'manliness' by driving SUVs?
The same thing happened in the 70s when Detroit continued producing LTDs, Impalas, etc while Japan was producing fuel efficient compact cars. You think we would have learned our lesson.
