ode to Black Friday a re-write
twas Black Friday
and bargins abound
but only for those
who slept on the ground
cheap laptops
flat lcd TVs
fight for the right
I need three
books for half price
five mile lines
all made to die for
I want what's mine
it's the price I paid
not time laid to waste
to hell with my neighbor
I must purchase with haste
I planned this for a year
a trip to the mall
to be in front of the line
to be included in it all
I got my trinkets
and new fangles do-dads
my neighbor got nothing
ha-ha he has been had
but it's the season for getting
cause giving just sucks
buy for yourself
your friends are out of luck
