I grew up on in Angle Inlet Mn...the very top of the state on Lake of the Woods. you have to cross a few miles of Manitoba Canada to get into the Angle. As I said I am 46 but we never had a real road til 1969 and power came in in 1970. We flew or took a boat to Warroad Mn boat trip varied from 6-8 hrs.One boat was called the Bert Steel other was the Resolute,Frieght and passenger wooden boats.Winter we drove across frozen swamps.Warroad was about 70 miles away.I went to a one room school,grades 1 through 8.
After that for high school we had to go to Warroad Mn or Roseau Mn.I learned to fly at 16 and now my sons and I are into powered parachutes.Thank you all for the warm welcome.Have a great weeks.One more thing...I have an aunt and uncle in International Falls...
