Having just read of this in local paper, and she is local to Walworth County, Having I have also been a waitress as well as having worked with waiters and waitresses in the kitchen, hearing their 'customer tales', some funny, some make you really ask WHY??
Well this gal (Pattie DaVita) was also waitress at our local Gilberts, and Red Geranium, so she has claim also to Lake Geneva... Well she decided to write a book on waitressing from the waitress side of it...there is a book for sale AND she has made this into a INDIE film...seems even top CEO's are using this for training film also...she is getting quite the raves and revues....I thought perhaps you all might like to check this out for yourself. I know I would like to soon myself....
This is not just about training, but she made a story out of it...around a 'waitress in training' and a 'lifer'....swapping 'horror stories of their job, etc.."
you can find it here:
Did I Say Thousand Island? - Home
This will be great not only for those in training but also the customer end of it ....'think before you judge or complain'....
as she said in this news story:
"Don't snap your fingers or whistle for me , I am not a dog. And if we are really busy and I forgot extra butter. I'm not an idiot and I am doing the best for each of my tables, so please remember I Am HUMAN.
"I"m not looking for world peace, but how about a little politeness?"
I truly hope she makes it to the big Cinema....for now she just wants to 'get the word out'...
Go for it Pattie!!
