I thought I heard Carlin do this bit at the end of one of his HBO specials, or some such...on his website, he claims to have no connection.
I can believe a witness to the Columbine Massacre would be able to come up with these sentiments, but not as immediately after the incident as the writing appeared. The essay has a soothing effect, if you read it and take things into perspective.
To tell me that a child molesting minister penned it...I feel the need to do a planet check.
