For those taking in baby animals heavily infested with fleas
Get some Frontline SPRAY (OTC Petco $22) and DO NOT SPRAY ON THE ANIMAL, but spray a towel......wrap the animal in the towel, leaving the head exposed.....hold for 3 minutes and unwrap. 98% of the fleas are dead and there is no chemical in direct contact with the skin.
Dead fleas can be combed out of the fur and dead fleas don't jump all over you and your home. He has successfully used this technique on FIVE DAY OLD KITTENS!!!
Flea eggs can then be combed off of the fur using a nit comb
