I may have been co owner of a major local website that in it's time received over 2 million hits/month, I may type fast and mean on forums, I show I have a great love and appreciation for computers, BUT.....
I don't know a:

corrupt network interface driver
|
or how to:

would remove all network drivers and reboot allowing the opperating system to detect and re-install the needed drivers.
If that fails my next guess would be replace or get a new network card, install and let the windows auto detect again..

or what?

remove and reinstall drivers

and again?

remove old network card and replace.

without some help.
But I do think that the corrupt driver is what a friend of mine thought it was. I was just hoping it was something that all I had to do was a few adjustments with help but to remove, replace cards, not me...
But I thank you for letting me know and maybe I can research some of this and see what it's all about and then send the computer out this weekend for my friend to fix.
Oh, I can at least answer that we did restart the modem, check everything out, and also put all new, cable, modem, and filter on. It did not work until I changed the tower. So we knew then it was the computer and not any thing to do with the modem/cable etc. That would have been to easy if it had been. lol
It's always something with computers isn't it?
