Calling all Dogs (and their human companions) -- Save the Date!
You're invited to three days of Doggone Good Fun at Grant Park.
Paws in the Park starts with the Cudahy Kennel Club AKC All-breed Dog
Show Friday & Saturday August 10th & 11th and ends with a big woof on
Sunday August 12th from 10 am - 4 pm at Grant Park in South Milwaukee.
Come one day or all three for just $5. Yep - admission is only $5 per
person no matter what day you come and once you've paid, you can come
back any of the days without paying again.
The CKC dog show attracts between 1500-2000 dogs competing for Best
in Show. This is one of the largest dog shows in the Midwest so we
encourage you to attend.
Paws in the Park, on Sunday, is geared toward the non-professional
companion dog that likes to just have fun. Sunday will feature:
-A walk to raise money for local dog parks
-Demos
-Doggie games & contests
-Educational exhibits
-Vendor booths
-Shelter/Rescue booths with adoptable dogs, and more!
The walk begins at 11 am. Registration is $20 per person and includes
the admission fee plus a bandanna for participating dogs while
supplies last. ROMP is a 501c3 non-profit so you donation is tax-
deductible and you can register the day of the event without having
to worry about collecting pledges in advance.
Walk participants will be entered into a drawing to win prizes and
will be recognized on the ROMP website and on a sign at the dog park
as being "best friends" of the dog park.
We have a great demo line up including agility, lure coursing,
obedience and hunting/utility dog demos. We are also VERY excited to
offer herding dog demos since the parks dept. has given us permission
to have sheep and duck in the park!
