Last Saturday evening the gas went up from 3.29 to 3.49 just taking time to eat dinner and drive across the city.
Right now it's holding at 3.44 everywhere here.
I was listening to a news story on the radio this morning and they were talking about if everyone would just consume ONE GALLON of gas a week there would be a drop in the gas prices.
ONE GALLON, but EVERYONE had to do it each week.
Since not everyone would do it than if we could get as many as possible to save a few gallons each week there would be a difference.
What is a gallon of gas? If you figured out a plan of action such as parking your car and walking to the corner store if you need something. Organize all your trips to the bank, stores, etc in a way that you can do it all in one day and not have to drive back and forth all week, or check out the city buses this summer and ride them over to the store and back a few times extra. Instead of going for a Sunday Drive...walk! Hikes are fun. Get out the bike this summer and remember how much fun you had riding it when you were a kid. Heck, they say Americans need more exercise..so let's leave the car at home and walk and save money.
Everyone needs to take a stand. I hear EVERYONE complain but the question is: WHY ARE WE ACCEPTING THIS? We need to fight back!
Refuse to purchase as much gas as usual and EVERYONE DO THIS. See what happens then.
