Vicious Cycle Raises Door County Gas Prices

One area of Northeast Wisconsin is hit particularly hard by rising gas prices. Door County gas owners say a vicious cycle makes the cost of fuel there so high.
A gallon of regular unleaded gas is now going for $3.40 in Sturgeon Bay
... the reason prices are up to 15 cents higher here than in Green Bay or the Fox Valley is high gas prices. The tanker trucks that deliver the gas run on gas themselves. Because the price of gas is so high everywhere, it costs even more to truck the fuel up to Door County.
"Washington Island have it even worse...two gas stations there are selling regular unleaded for $3.49 a gallon.
