Racing Season Is upon Us
Gumby Racing will be back for another year at the Oshkosh Speed Zone with our next generation of driver. Al Cottrell age 15 will be taking the wheel for his first full year of driving the #00A 91 Ford Probe. It is a new car for us this year but the Probe is not new to the team as Chris ( Al's dad) drove one to a championship in 2003 in Oshkosh. The Gumby Racing team is sponcered this year by The Stadium Bar in Oshkosh, The Lyons Den Bar in Oshkosh, Multi-Conveyor in Winneconne and numerous other individual supporters. The decals on the car were done by Fuzzy and the hand painting was done by Scott and Dawn Children.
And for those that are wondering the Gumby Racing comes from Al's uncle Steve that died in 2006 from cancer he was given the nick name after a snowmobile accident a few yrs ago and it kind of stuck so we figure we should keep it going since he started us in the racing stuff. All of our races are dedicated to him he was an avid outdoors man and race fan as well as a builder and driver.
Please come out and support the track in Oshkosh it is racing at it's roots on the dirt and a dam good show.
