Hello from Karen and Mike from our little farm about 12 miles north of Madison. We stay quite busy here taking care of our kids, horses, dogs, cats, and parrot – there’s never a dull moment here - but it's all fun. As you can tell from our name, we’ve also got a little garlic growing hobby going on and even though it’s a LOT of work, we’re having fun with it.
We’re both originally city kids so moving to the country has been a HUGE learning experience for us. Thank goodness we have wonderful neighbors that guide us through and help us fix the silly mistakes we’ve made…..and there have been a few...

We’ve both lived in Wisconsin all of our lives. We grew up at opposite ends of the state and then met in the middle. Wisconsin is such a great place and each season offers such wonderful opportunities for recreation. We love it here. (except for those days when it’s just too cold to go outside that is!)
As our kids get older we’re hoping to get them interested in some of the hobbies we used to enjoy like biking, kayaking, hiking, horseback riding, skiing, and gardening so we can get back out there ourselves!
