The
annual Neenah City Wide Clean Up Day will be held beginning at
8 a.m. on Saturday, May 5, 2007.
A clean-up is coordinated in Neenah's neighborhood areas. It is the perfect opportunity for neighbors to gather together in the clean-up of our common areas and corridors. Workers will collect litter, sweep and the like - a spring spruce up for Neenah! Church youth groups, service organizations, scouting groups and families are encouraged to help out in their neighborhoods.
Volunteers should report for duty at their neighborhood gathering place, there they will receive instructions, garbage bags and a clean-up area map assignment. Volunteers are asked to wear gloves and bring rakes if possible. Clean up is focused in neighborhood specific hotspots such as along roadways, trails and vacant lots.
