I was just reading Thursday or Friday's (the 11th or 12th of April) Wall Street Journal. Now they're saying the recall has been expanded.

The wheat gluten that caused the problem (16 confirmed pet deaths so far, probably more unreported) came from China and included an industrial by-product that has no business being in a food product.
I don't understand how we can be getting that food from China when we're the 'bread basket of the world'. How can it be cheaper to get wheat from China?
