Excellent new Milwaukee Radio Station ~ 88.9 FM
There's an excellent new station in town at 88.9 FM.
Don't even recall the call letters yet, but I've been listening in 20 to 40 minute driving time bursts from early am to late pm and I've been impressed.
The variety and quality of the music is outstanding. Deep cuts of rock, a little hip hop, some new, some old. Always interesting artists, and always a smooth groove from song to song.
I'm impressed with the DJs, too. Not in-your-face hypsters; they seem to really appreciate the sounds they're doling out. They're fans. A couple have real down home vocal cords for doing the DJ thing, too.
Give 88.9 a listen. If you like good music and a departure from sterile programming, you'll be glad you tuned in.
