I'm sorry to hear your son is not feeling well. It's a good thing that you read about the peanut butter and checked it so you can keep him from eating anymore.
I remember years ago when my oldest son (maybe around 6-7 years old) became sick with salmonella (spelling?) anyways, he was pretty sick for quite sometime. He wasn't the type that would stay down though and would go out and run and play as much as he could and then come in and throw up or run to the bathroom with diarrhea..and then try to go out again. It lasted several weeks or more until he was fully recovered. (he's 26 now so all is well). I thought it was from the sausage from the local Pizza Hut (he was the only one that ate it) but it was also at the same time they were recalling milk. Not sure but if it was the sausage he only ate it one time to be sick for that long. ;(
