Apple Computer has been an "Innovator" since it's inception.
Ist built on the promise for ease of use, then on the platform of quaility.
so what did they do?
Yes the mouse
Macintosh with GUI interface- Now on a Linux Based OS
Newton-flop
big push in educational use-more pc's now
better graphics-not anymore
scsi interface-PC also havethem and Apple uses IDE EIDE
risc processor- Mac is now using Pentium processors
iPod-Very cool interface But WAY over priced for something you need to return to manufacturer for battery replacement.
iPhone-too new to say-Someday it maybe considered inovative but for now just OVERPRICED.
and the real issue is with basic manufacuring quantity Apple loses it's cutting edge technology as they can not possibly turn inventory as fast as a PC. and with Apple using the same components as PC's, they can not call their quailty any better than any other PC out there.
In fact anyone with computer skills can build a much better system for less cost than a typical Macintosh.
I used to work for a company that supplied 85% of all computer clock batteries. Slowly the technology changed thus reducing the demand for that product but guess who was one of the last hold-outs continuing to buy our outdated product?
This comes from a guy that has 3 useless Mac's in his closet. :?
