1. Wisconsin public schools are passing kids through school with horrible grades, no life skills and the inability to read, write or do simple math
|
Well here we go again blaming a whole state for some cities and locations within. Maybe the city you live in has school issues that makes it look like they are passing kids through but does that mean the whole state? We live in a larger city (kenosha) and I have seen alot of work given to helping kids in our schools. Many good programs have been introduced to help our kids feel they are important and to intice them to do their best. Yes, there are alot of issues here also as in any city, or state but our city is doing alot for our kids. So guess you can't say 'wisconsin' as a whole.

2. Wisconsin does not promote the family but instead was the first state to incorporate "No Fault Divorce"
|
I came from a divorce family. But the time and state I came from made it difficult for people to divorce. My mom had to be 'separated' from my abusive father for a year before she could try to obtain a divorce. She had to sleep in with my sister and I to be called 'separated'. It was very difficult time in our lives until she finally was granted a divorce. Then she ended up getting a very small amount of child support. Times have changed alot and I think our state see's that things needed to be changed and I'm glad for it. Some people are truly better off not being married.

4. Property taxes are so high that families are being forced to move to other states, sometimes breaking up extended families and a lifetime of memories and friends
|
ha..yes, the property taxes are high, but we had to move to this state while my husband works in another because housing was alot more affordable even with the higher taxes. There was no way we could afford for me to be home with our children if we decided to buy a home in the city/state he works in. So I guess our case is the opposite of what you are saying..we didn't move away because of the taxes, we moved here because it is more affordable.

5. Wiccans are allowed to promote their stuff in public school but my kids are not allowed to mention the word God
|
Asked my soon to be high schooler if she felt 'wiccans' were 'allowed' over others in the school, or if any one 'group' dominated another as far as their beliefs. Well again, maybe it is just because we live in a different city than you, but she felt nothing like this is going on.
Maybe if you are not happy about the state you should consider either moving from it, or maybe just try another part of the state and see if you find things are different?
Just my thoughts.
