A) Because it's good propaganda. Everytime some politician says "for the children" or "think of the children" I want to strangle them.
But two things:
No fault divorce is better for the kids than parents who hate each other being forced to stay together. How is it better for the kids to watch Mommy getting beaten and abused by Daddy every night or watch her miserable because he's out with his girlfriend or listen to them fighting continuously because they just should never have gotten married in the first place (or with the genders reversed, of course)? People are better parents when they are happy and secure in their own life and they can't be that if they are condemned to a lifetime of hatred and misery.
Wiccans are not "allowed" to "promote" their religion (not STUFF. Religion.) any more than any other religion, including Christianity. I'm really sick of Christians thinking they should get special privileges that the rest of us should then be denied.
