fraudulent ads
I responded to 3 classified ads listed on Yahoo for Maltese puppies. They claimed to be "free" for adoption. This morning I had 3 emails describing the details. 1 claimed to live in NY, 1 in Chicago...funny thing...all 3 were not in the states at this time (on a church mission), and amazingly took their dogs with them. They only wanted money for the shipping...which was $300-$350! Asking to please help them, all they want is a good home for 'lilly', 'baby' etc. I know how these scammers work, we had this problem before with an ad we had listed on a different site. They will make arrangements with their 'shippers', as soon as they verify payment information. I find it odd that (Yahoo) does not monitor their activity well. One of the rules for posting is pets HAVE to be for sale and not given away. Just wanted to make others aware this is going on.
