Well, as I'm sure you all noticed, the site was down most of Monday and yesterday and now there are some things missing or broken.
The server that had this site on it had what you might term a massive hardware failure, if you're the sort to make understatements. In the process of fixing that failure, the hard drives got fried like funnel cake batter at the state fair.
Many thanks to johnm for putting the server's contents back together from backups! Luckily, we had a backup of information from 8am on Monday, so we haven't lost too many posts, classifieds, etc, but any photos that were uploaded in the last week and a half (before yesterday afternoon, of course) are gone, and so are any posts made Monday morning. You weren't deleted by the admins! Honest!
Same goes for users who registered after 8 am on Monday. You will have to re-register, I'm afraid. Your registration was lost in the crash.
Some of the underlying software had to be changed in setting things back up, so if you see something that isn't working anymore, please click "Report Abuse" at the bottom of that page and let us know what's not working and what it's doing instead. I'll be checking the site over the next couple days, and hopefully we've already fixed all the major problems, but an extra 6425 pair of eyes can't hurt
These things happen occasionally. This is the only time we've had this sort of problem as long as I've been the webmaster on the site though, so I guess we were due for some major catastrophe. :roll:
