I agree that a dog's behavior is the reflection of their owner's treatment towards them. Our dog Sandy was very naughty when we brought her home from the pound, wild and ill mannered. I brought her to a dog obedience class and realized at that time that it was training me more than her. She was a beagle/lab mix - has been gone over 12 years now and we still talk about and miss her as a dear family member.
