Introducing my cat, Sis:
She arrived with her brother when they were both kittens. I wanted a pair, though her brother's life ended under a tractor when they were building a new house next door. Sis is still with us 12 years later. She is a white Siamese mix, with some spots and tabby marks on her tail. She grew up with my 3 rambunctious sons and various other cats, parakeets, ferrets, dogs and snakes the boys brought home over the years, taking it all in stride. There were a few times the commotion was too much and she disappeared for a few days. My neighbors told me she was sleeping in the neighborhood flood drains and living on mice from their garages. She is an excellent mouser, though partially blind from a congenital problem. Sis deserves the best - she is a great friend.
We brought Sis to Chicago temporarily. She hunkered right in and enjoys sitting on the deck and mousing around the condo. I bring her home to Wisconsin for weekends - she is a good traveler but very vocal so she travels in a cage in back of the truck. When we get to the house, she jumps right out and checks out her old territory right away. It's been a while since she was home and I noticed there are many rodents moving in again - she is going to have a great feast next time she visits.
Her complete story is on her own website! All her photos are on her site:
