Speaking from a part of the country that is a "fly over" for most of the big media/entertainment people, here's my perspective:
Most people I know (probably all) wouldn't know a Jew if they came up and bit them. When told that someone is a Jew, the comment is usually, "Really? So what."
With so much diversity in this country, You'd have to be obsessed with a particular group in order to even comment on it and it's history.
Let it go, there's no big conspiracy to run the government by the Jews. If they are able to have influence by pooling resources or money, good for them. That's the way the system works. If you want change, vote. Convince others to vote. Pool your own group.
As far as ancient history, it makes interesting reading, but has little value in todays world except to understand some deep traditions maybe. And lets not start quoting the bible or other religeous text. It only leads to argueing and cheap shots.
Most peoples lives are full of enough issues to keep them busy. Kids, Grandkids, bills, property taxes, drunken neighbor, whatever.
Judge individuals on their own merit. Not by what their name is or where they come from. I have Eastern Europe heritage. But I am and always have been an American.
